"It's a good thing he's cute."

<---This shot was taken in October. The dog is about 6 months old here, and my son hadn't turned 7 yet. Can you guess which one of the two doesn't like cameras?
Yep. The dog went for the camera. If I uploaded the next 6 pictures...you'd see a blurred sequence of the canine missile attempting to neutralize the object in my hand. The dog thinks there's something fishy going on with cameras, which makes it QUITE a challenge to take his photograph. (Actually...it's already a challenge for me to take pictures. I seem to have a terrible handicap with dead batteries, flash units that don't work and lenses which won't focus. A moving target doesn't improve the quality of my photography. For a scrapbooker, this is a terrible thing to admit. Phooey!)

And yes...it really does look THIS innocent.----->
...Especially after attacking a sneaker or chewing the head off a stuffed duck. Or threatening someone with a camera. OR breaking my finger, which was twisted in his collar this week while attempting to re-capture the escapee. He prefers to play tag when called. The problem of course is that this is a very unsatisfying game if only ONE of the participants is genuinely interested in the activity. BAD DOG!!

It's a good thing that Cashmere is cute, because seriously...if we had to rely on his current level of intelligence, we probably would have had to name him Darwin instead. (Apparently they issue awards for people and animals who fit that description.)
