The Power of ONE.

One song can spark a moment,
One flower can wake the dream
One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring
One smile begins a friendship
One handclasp lifts a soul
One star can guide a ship at sea
One word can frame the goal
One vote can change a nation
One sunbeam lights a room
One candle wipes out darkness
One laugh will conquer gloom
One step must start each journey
One word must start each prayer
One hope will raise our spirits
One touch can show you care
One voice can speak with wisdom
One heart can know what's true
One life can make the difference
You see, IT'S UP TO YOU!!

OK, it’s been a while since I posted here. If I’ve been reticent over the last year or so, it’s because acknowledgment could have little bearing on what you found here. That is going to change. There is a commonly held perception that ONE is less than two in relationships. For me, it’s meant something else entirely; the definition can be found standing among the words in the poem above.
Creative expression in this medium has introduced new challenges, because time is a resource -- I have a career, my son, the same responsibilities as two. What it demands now is discipline. The funny thing about this quality is that it’s something I can draw upon…just like paper… and I’m looking forward to picking up my pencil again. But first...I work today.

Char,
The poem is great. It is so true that one can be very powerful.
I try to rememeber that each day. One simple kindness can make someones day and only take a moment of your time. Thanks for reminding me!
