Right, they agree! Even the silly dog "digs" it. (He does NOT yet comprehend that he's not allowed on public beaches...THANK HEAVEN! Even though he is an extremely sanitary shade of white, the canine excavator smelled a lot like the dead crab carcass he found last time we took him to a beach, and he's a conscienceless face-licker. YUCK! I'm also sure that if we let him continue digging, he'd be somewhere near the center of the earth by now. The last thing I want to reinforce with this animal is the concept of digging holes.)

I'm still trying to finish a few more files before the sale ends, but my most recent project was a resurrected layout featuring "Beach Babes". It landed in time to enjoy the sunshine and a new pool that I dragged home and filled with water and chlorine last week: It's been BLAZING hot here, and although I don't have a palm tree to lounge under...the climbing rose and a Hawthorn tree have been great substitutes!

Anniversary Celebrations and HUGE SALE at That's Scrap Inc!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to That's Scrap Inc! On June 6, it will be one year since That's Scrap, Inc evolved from www.StickyStuff.com and www.cutterworld.com In honor of the birthday and to celebrate the date, a LOT of exciting things have been planned for the month of June: TSI is having sales and freebies all month long, and the TSI forum is hosting some exciting challenges as well.


Sherri has launched a cool new storage product for stickles! A scrapbooker with a skilled husband who custom-made the first one for his wife has agreed to custom-build these for the store. They come in two- and three-tier models, and make it possible to store every color made by Ranger so that Stickles addicts can see exactly what they have, and they're stored upside down so they won't dry out!


You can read about each event happening through the week at the store from the newsletter linked here. The design team has also launched a new membership called the N'Titled Club. It's a monthly cutter file membership which guarantees 20 or more files each month, each available in AI, EPS, SVG, KNK and GSD (with a few WPC and bitmap varieties added in!). The introductory price for a 6 month membership is $50, while individual monthly memberships can be purchased for $10. The files are delivered as a single complete zip at the beginning of each month, so there's no need to go looking or remember to download. Every file carries a license for commercial use: that means that anything you make with these can also be resold on or offline, as long as your license number appears on the item and the designer's name is given for reference. The current month's membership files include summer themes which relate to several subjects--- fishing, weddings, beach, sunshine, etc and can be previewed here: June N'Titled Membership.
If you have an electronic die cutter, chances are...you'll be able to use these. At least...we hope you can!

Don't miss this swap! 25 different cards, with 3 months to get your entry completed...you can expect this one to be lots of fun and useful, too! You have to be a registered member of the forum at http://thatsscrap.yuku.com to participate. Our cutter files as well as our cards will be shared when we're finished (IF you make one. You don't have to use a die cutter, and no commercial files will be shared. You don't have to have a cutter to play!) Whether you have a Cricut with SCAL, Craft Robo, Wishblade, Silhouette, Pazzles, Gazelle or KNK...Stamps or just cut or print by hand...as long as you intend to have fun...it doesn't matter. Dealing with Bears (the 8-year old perspective.)

My son loved the bear video I posted recently, but WHO KNEW that it would evolve in the 8-year old imagination to become the subject of successive projects at home and at school?!
Today, after I picked him up at school, I was presented with the ideal 8-year old graphic solution for dealing with bears. Next time we go for a walk in the park, we are apparently supposed to bring the dog.... and a VERY large scoop!

I'm vaguely reassured by the fact that the dog is still barking at the end of this story, but I'm a bit concerned that the self-portrait of my son is consistently smiling (or grinning?) during the encounter...before, during AND AFTER the bear has devoured the dog!

Waking the Bears with Rick Mercer

This isn't scrapbook-related content (--unless we consider the persistence of bears in the scrapbook community!--) but I couldn't resist posting this recent video. Rick Mercer is a name synonymous with Canadian politics and irreverent humor. Most of the time, the Rick Mercer Report delivers a political perspective that involves humor with teeth. This particular episode has most of the same ingredients, although it's less influenced by political satire: watch and laugh! If "walk softly and carry a big stick" ever evolves to "walk softly and carry a shovel"...you'll know where it came from!
